ANHEUSER BUSCH JOINS SOUTHERN MODIFIED RACE TOUR
Busch Beer Becomes the “Official Beer” of SMRT

The Southern Modified Race Tour is proud to announce the addition of Anheuser Busch and their Busch Beer brand as a sponsor of the Southern Modified Race Tour for 2016.

“We are happy to announce that Busch Beer will become the “Official Beer” of the Southern Modified race Tour for 2105”, said SMRT Series Director Randy Myers.

“Busch Beer will be the sponsor of the “Busch Pole Award” for each event in 2016 and will sponsor the “Busch Pole King” award for the driver winning the most Busch Poles throughout the season. Each top qualifier in 2016 will receive $150.00 plus a plaque and the “Busch Pole King” will receive a $500.00 bonus at the 2016 SMRT Banquet. In addition to those awards, Busch Beer will sponsor four laps at each 2016 SMRT event in the series Lap Leader/Chaser program. Busch Beer will also be the presenting sponsor at one SMRT event to be determined.

We will also be working with Busch distributors in the area of each track we visit in 2016 to help promote the Busch brand and the SMRT series. Being able to get the word out about our events goes a long way towards making any series a success and this gives us a great opportunity to do that. We will announce additional marketing programs that will involve the teams and race fans at each event as the season develops”, Myers said.

In correspondence with area Busch Beer Distributors, Kevin Boyd, Regional Brand Activation and Sports Marketing Manager for Anheuser Busch in NC/SC/TN, announced the sponsorship. Mr. Boyd said SMRT offers a great opportunity to engage “true” racing fans. The sponsorship offers the Busch Beer Distributors a chance to “heavy up” on marketing at c-stores around the tracks through promotions two to three weeks in advance of SMRT events.

“We certainly look forward to working with Busch Beer and their Distributors in implementing marketing programs at each event. This is a great opportunity for our series”, said Myers.
