TONY HANBURY LOOKING FOR SUCCESS AT CHEMUNG SPEEDROME ON
SATURDAY
Hanbury Ready to Take on Competition in The Drome “75” |

Hanbury of Buffalo, N.Y., heads to the Chemung Speedrome this
Saturday afternoon looking to take things to another level when the
Ferris Mowers Race of Champions Asphalt Modified Series fueled by
Sunoco takes to the challenge track for The Drome “75”. Hanbury has
been a staple on the Series for several years and he’s looking for
success at one of the tracks he has the most experience at.
“We’ll be ready to go at Chemung,” offered Hanbury, who drives a
Troyer chassis with a Morgantini engine, with sponsorship coming
from longtime partner Manzari’s Bar and Grill, along with Pine City
Tool and Kountry Krullers Bakery. “Chemung has been very good to me
over the years and we’ve won races there and that is what we will be
looking to do on Saturday. My team and I have dug in and we’ve been
working hard. Everyone on the Series has really stepped up and the
competition has been tough so far this year.
Hanbury has developed from “young gun” into one of the veterans of
the Series and he sees the Series from many different aspects.
“There is a really good mix of racers that run the Series,” Hanbury
explained, who drives for an Elmira, N.Y., based team led by Tom
Gush. “There are some talented young racers along with guys that
have been running the Series for a long time. It makes it
challenging every time you get to the track because anyone can be
competitive and having a good day. Chemung will be no different, but
the track does present some unique challenges. Hopefully when the
checkered flag falls it’s our day. We’re really looking forward to
it.”

When: Saturday, May 28, 2016. Grandstands open at 1:00 pm, Racing at
3:00 pm
Directions: The track is located at 605 Wyncoop Creek Road, Chemung,
NY 14825, Exit 59 off of Interstate 86 (12 miles East of Elmira,
N.Y., 45 miles West of Binghamton, N.Y., and 45 miles South East of
Watkins Glen, N.Y.)
