AMBER FORTIN TO REALIZE TURKEY DERBY DREAM
WITH DUNLEAVY'S TRUCK & TRAILER SPONSORSHIP

When the 43rd annual Turkey Derby classic takes the green flag Saturday November 26th at Wall Stadium Amber Fortin of Holtsville will realize a lifelong dream of competing in the 150 lap Tour Type Modified classic thanks to sponsorship from Dunleavy's Truck & Trailer. Amber and Doug Dunleavy made the joint announcement on Thursday via social media.

"I can't thank Doug Dunleavy enough for making my dream of racing the Turkey Derby come true this year" Amber noted Friday morning just hours after the exciting announcement. "For one of the preeminent sponsors in Modified racing back me for one of the most prestigious Modified races of the year is truly an honor" the 24-year old driving talent added.

The 2016 season found Fortin competing in a 6 race Modified series at the Evergreen Raceway Park where she placed 4th in the final point standings never placing outside of the top ten. "As excited as I am about the Turkey Derby and Doug Dunleavy's support I can't thank my team headed up by my father John Sr. and brother John Jr. The blood, sweat and effort my team puts into my racing is second to none" the 2013 Mountain Speedway Rookie of the Year concluded.

Doug Dunleavy through his Brookfield, Connecticut based Dunleavy Truck & Trailer Repair is not only one of the most generous and visible sponsors in Modified racing but also one of the most successful. Doug Coby of Milford, Ct. just sewed up his third consecutive NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour title under the Dunleavy's Truck & Trailer banner who also backs former NASCAR Southern Modified Tour champion George Brunnhoelzl Jr. of Mooresville, NC. Popular Garden State racer Jamie "The Jet" Tomaino of Howell, NJ is also backed by Dunleavy and the tested tough veteran will also compete in the Turkey Derby event.

The 43rd annual Turkey Derby is a three day event at Wall Stadium starting Friday November 25th at the demanding 1/3 of a mile high banked oval. Details on the three days of racing can be found at wallspeedwayracing.com.
