The Chrome Horn - Valenti Modified Racing Series

Jon McKennedy, of East Chelmsford, Massachusetts, will ride a championship wave into New Hampshire’s Lee USA Speedway Sunday, October 23, to put the final touch on an incredible season as the Valenti Modified Racing Series closes out the 2016 campaign.

McKennedy, driving the # 29 Exit Realty, Christopher’s Towing, L. H. Wheeler Chevrolet, will be looking to sweep both ends of the scheduled twin-50-lap feature races, part of the annual Oktoberfest event that was postponed by rain two weeks ago.

The 29-year old driver becomes the series all-time championship leader with four titles surpassing Kirk Alexander. McKennedy also moved into second place on the all-time series win list with 22 victories. Alexander leads that category with 31 wins.

McKennedy has visited victory lane this season at Groveton, NH, Oxford, ME, Winchester, NH, Lee, NH, Waterford, CT, Stafford, CT, and Scarborough, ME.

Series regulars Rob Richardi, of Easton, MA, David Schneider, of Northport, NY, Colby Fournier, of Berkley, MA, Geoff Gernhard, of Bozrah, CT, Matt Mead, of Richmond, NH, and Framingham, MA, Brandon Dion, of Taunton, MA, and Framingham, MA, veteran George Sherman, are some of the expected entries.

VMRS features are first and fifth in a 13-division lineup. A round of practice will commence at 12 noon Sunday.
