FOUR-TIME CHAMPION LOOKING FORWARD TO
2015 SEASON WITH NEW SPONSOR

Four-time NASCAR Whelen Southern Modified Tour Champion George Brunnhoelzl III is looking forward to a successful 2015 season with new sponsor, Dunleavy’s Truck & Trailer Repair, owned by Doug Dunleavy. Dunleavy is no stranger to modified racing having sponsored last year’s NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour Champion driver, Doug Coby.

“I have a championship in the North and I want a championship in the South—no other sponsor has ever done it and I think George is the one to bring me that championship. It means a lot to me to help the modifieds,” Dunleavy said. “Not only am I helping keep a champion in his tour, but I have a driver who can come north and make an impact on occasion.”

A native of Long Island, Brunnhoelzl is excited about this partnership with a northern company and the opportunities it will provide to return to some racing in the Northeast for the upcoming year, as well as run the NWSMT full time.

“We’re very excited to welcome Dunleavy to the team. I am looking forward to seeing what we can accomplish together,” stated Brunnhoelzl. “Dunleavy’s Truck & Trailer Repair’s involvement in modified racing has helped the sport grow and has brought some much needed attention to this sport that I love. Dunleavy is very focused on helping drive the fan base of modified racing. The fact that I am going to be able to work with Dunleavy toward that endeavor is awesome.”

Brunnhoelzl won 2 races during the 2014 NWSMT season and had 11 top 5 finishes, ending the season in 2nd place and looks to improve upon that this year, going for his fifth NWSMT Championship.

While this sponsorship helps ensure GB3 will be active in the 2015 NWSMT season, there are still more opportunities to help bring that fifth NWSMT Championship to the Brunnhoelzl camp.
