US OPEN POSTPONED TO SATURDAY, OCTOBER 4 DUE TO WEATHER
WITH RAINDATE OF SUNDAY, OCTOBER 5 |
Short
Track Management (STM) has postponed the Sunday portion of the 26th
annual US Open at Lancaster Speedway. Heavy early morning rains
combined with the forecast for more precipitation during the day
forced STM to make the decision. The race program originally
scheduled for Sunday has been postponed until Saturday, October 4
with a raindate of Sunday, October 5.
The Race of Champions Modified Tour Tommy Druar/Tony Jankowiak
Memorial 125 will still be the headline event. STM would like to
thank Andrew Harpell and the RoC Tour for the cooperation in
rescheduling the event. The Tommy/Tony race will take on even more
importance as it becomes the final points race of the year for the
RoC Tour. The Race of Champions Modifieds will race this weekend in
the Fall Brawl at Shangri-La 2 Speedway in Owego, NY.
The NYPA TQ Midgets, Big 10 Super Stocks and Late Models will also
be on the race card. The Late Models will only run a feature with
their heat races already completed on Saturday night.
All driver registrations, pit passes and general admission tickets
purchased for Sunday will be honored on October 4. The exact
schedule of events will be announced shortly at
www.lancasterusopen.com.
