CHARLES KEPLEY MEMORIAL DISAPPOINTS BROWN
Myers Captures First Win At Caraway Speedway

The first of 12 NASCAR Whelen Southern Modified Tour events proved to be intense as Tim Brown has a problem with his fuel late in the race and Jason Myers takes home his first win at the track in a green white checkered finish. Brown left the track disappointed while the Myers family relished in Jason’s victory.

“I finally won at Caraway! I been racing down here a long time. This place owes me one but I tell ya what I hope it owes me three or four more this year. I’ve known Charles since I was a little kid. He watched me grow up and to win a race that’s got the importance behind it as the Kepley name and for all Charles did single handedly for Modified racing in general. It just makes it that much sweeter, I want to thank him for all he did.” stated Myers in victory lane. George Brunnhoelzl III, Kyle Ebersole, Ted Christopher and Andy Seuss rounded out the top five.

In the Late Model Stock portion Dan Moore of Bear Creek captured his first win of the season with just his second start. Ryan Wilson, Mack Little, Patrick Coleman and KazGrala rounded out the top five finishers.

Reigning Champion Ryan Brown took home his first win of the season in the Limited Late Model ranks. Paul Wark, Ross Dalton, Carl Auman and Chris Hudspeth round out the top five finishers.

In the new Southern Modified Lite division Dean Lowder captured his first career win. Jimmy Wallace, Richard Thomas, Gary Young Jr and Austin Thompson rounded out the top five.

In the Legends event Austin Osborne scored his first win of the season. Jason Austin, Jan Ingram, Joseph Oliver and Charles Parker round out the top five.

In the Auto & Metal Recyler U-Cars event the flagged winner was disqualified giving the win to Johnny Warr. Allen Vance, Brian Melville, Zack Moore and David Manning round out the top five.

In the Auto & Metal Recycler Hornets Timothy Clay captured his first career win. Corey Rose, Ed Collier, Nick Passmore and Justin Smith round out the top five finishers.

The next event will be Saturday Night featuring the Late Model Super Trucks. Green flag at 7pm.
