With
the second annual SBM 125 Tour-Type Modified Open at
the Star Speedway now just over eight weeks away,
the race has taken on a new name. It will now be
known as the "Exeter Decorating SBM 125," with a
significantly increased involvement provided by
Exeter Decorating store owner Ralph Dutton for the
Saturday, June 16 event.
"The opportunity to put our name on this race seemed
like a perfect fit for us, being just over five
miles from Star Speedway," Dutton reasoned. "Our
involvement last year was a positive experience, and
we look forward to building new relationships with
area race fans in our showroom."
Located just one-quarter mile from exit 9 off Route
101 in Exeter, New Hampshire, the Exeter Decorating
Center has one of the largest independently owned
showroom's in all of New England, featuring carpet
area rugs, floor and wall tile, hardwood, window
treatments, wallpaper and paint.
For all of your home decorating needs, visit Exeter
Decorating for service with a personal touch. More
information, including in-store photos and brand
availability is available on their web site at:

With this new development also comes news that Steve
Rubin, from Fast Track Concessions of Star and
Thompson Speedway's has agreed to replace Exeter
Decorating as sponsor of the bonus program available
to the Star weekly Modified teams. The highest
finishing driver who runs a minimum three of the
first four weekly series Modified events at Star
leading up to the June 16 event will pocket an extra
$250. The second best finisher will earn $150, while
third place pays $100.
This event will be the only Tour-Type Modified race
of its kind, featuring some of the best competitors
from all four major Modified Tours, competing
against the best weekly racers from Star Speedway.
See traveling stars Mike Stefanik, Todd Szegedy, Les
Hinckley, Matt Hirschman and many more compete
against area standouts Andy Seuss, 2011 race winner
Jon McKennedy and Star 2011 Track Champion Josh
Cantara.
